Vintage High Chair Redo

before

So my fun friend, Beth, had another Boho project for me to do (& talk about a major transformation)!!  This vintage high chair was really cute before, but wow, what a difference a little paint makes (I can hardly recognize it)!
It was a unique piece of furniture before & even more unique after!

If you want to see this in person, head on over to Gateway Mall & tell Beth that the GBG girls sent you!!!

Thanks for looking,
Heather

Boho Chairs ~ funky furniture art!

before

after

love this picture ~ the distressing turned out great

chair #1

chair #2

OK....  I am not the type to brag, but I love these chairs!!!  Beth, once again, gave me some color ideas, and let me loose & boy, do I love how they turned out!  They look so old & shabby.... like they've been around for decades ~ I did add dark wax before I clear waxed them & I'm so glad I did.  The two chairs have all of the same colors, but just in a few different spots.

Thanks, Beth, for letting me be so creative!!  If you love these crazy, funky, shabby chairs, go check them out @ Not Too Shabby in the Gateway Mall!

Beth is letting me have a lot of fun....  she told me she wanted light aqua chairs with pink, & then let me go with it!  These chairs are so fun & a great addition to a girl's room or any space that needs some character & charm!

The side table got a nice shade of Old White paint & is ready for any room in your home!

Sweet Treat!

Didn't have a picture of the whole dresser, but these are what the drawers looked like, pre-makeover....

after ~ very cute!!

This dresser has a new color & new possibilities....  it was painted a custom pink which I mixed Annie Sloan Scandinavian Pink w/ Old White to create this soft, understated pink.  This would be perfect in a girl's room with a lovely mirror hung above & a fun lamp ~ the sky's the limit with this fun piece!

Find it in the Gateway Mall @ Not Too Shabby!

I really like this simple side table.  It has elegant details & is painted a classy Chateau Grey.  The inside has a partition which is perfect for keeping magazines/books/dvds/cds organized!

This piece as well as many others, can be found @ Not Too Shabby in the Gateway Mall.

Boho Chic (& funky)!

pretty  boring....

neat piece, but again...pretty boring....

artsy & unique

talk about a conversation piece!

Beth had asked me to try to do some very funky, artsy look on two pretty basic furniture pieces ~ always up to the challenge, I couldn't wait to get started!  She sent me some ideas & let me take it from there!

The pieces were painted complimentary colors with lots of character & Boho style!  They are sure to add some funk to your home & plenty for visitors to talk about!  If your interested in these unique pieces, please visit Beth @ Not Too Shabby in the Gateway Mall!

Candy Cane

This dressing table was done for Beth at Not Too Shabby in the Gateway Mall.

I painted it Scandinavian Pink (with a splash of red), then I dry-brushed Old White on top.  Lots of distressing and of course, clear and dark wax.

Excuse our garage...not too tidy this time of year.

I love the hint of color peeking through the Old White.

The original hardware was put back on...it just looked right.

Silver Bells

Beth from Not Too Shabby found this fun piece and asked us to paint it for her shop...it is over 5 1/2 feet long and has nice clean lines.  I think it could be used as a dresser, buffet or even as an entertainment unit to hold a flat screen.

Before...minus the drawers.

It was dreadfully cold out in our garage the day I decided to start this project...so I moved the sawhorses inside and painted in the dining room.

Primer on the drawers

Finished?  Nope...missing the knobs (they are painted the same silver color).
I DID take an after picture the next day WITH the knobs and little legs...
but who knows where that picture is.

The body and the middle section of drawers are painted in a high-gloss white and the outer section of drawers is a metallic silver.  All the surfaces were lightly sanded and the edges have a little distressing.  This piece is amazing...it is available for purchase at Not Too Shabby in the Gateway Mall, Bismarck, ND.

Happy Holidays

We have a big painting week planned...so check back.

Thanks for visiting.

Side Table w/ Charm

before

after

This side table was lacking in the charm section, but with a few coats of Chateau Gray, she's perfect!!  The sliding doors make a great hideaway spot for magazines/movies/books ~ you name it!  This would also be a great addition to a bathroom for towels & such!  I love a cute table that also hides stuff ~ win, win!!

Find this piece @ Not Too Shabby in the Gateway Mall & make sure to greet the girls for us!!

Bubble Gum

Our friend, Beth, from Not Too Shabby in the Gateway Mall is keeping us busy with fun projects...did you know she loves pink?  Well, she does and I was able to paint three different pink pieces for her this week.

Before

This child-size picnic table and benches were in tough shape...
a little sanding and paint made a huge difference.

After

Isn't this cute?

Two small benches and a fold down table in the
perfect shades of pick and white.

The sun was streaming in through the windows and
washing the colors out a bit...sorry.

Before

After

A fun little chair that would be perfect in a little girls room.
It is absolutely adorable.  I was attempting to stage this with some girly toys...not happening at my house.

Just a hint of distressing makes this piece perfect.

Before

Dark and boring.

After

Pretty in pink.
This is a great bench with storage or a toy box for your little girl.

All three pieces are available for purchase at Not Too Shabby in the Gateway Mall.  If you meet Beth, tell her that the GBG girls sent you.
